Prewedding Food Tour

I made this up. There's no service like this, but there's such experience like what this couple encountered in Penang. Carrie & Ei Hon travel all the way from Singapore up north for me(which I secretly think, partly for the hawker food as well). I jest. Having a designer couple like them is always welcomed. It means your work must have a certain 'aesthetic approval' from them to click and they might already have some idea for the theme of the shoot - which happened with my previous designers couple before too.

Being a huge fan of vintage, Carrie showed me the theme she wanted and indirectly shaped how this series looked like. I always believe that a portrait session needs mutual effort to make it work - the couple and the photographer. It's one of my favorite session from 2012. Not only there are a lot of favorite shots I like or never tried, it is very memorable as I got very wet under rain with my cameras. We were having some issue with uncertain weather for the casual series. You could tell from those pictures below that has some raindrops.

Rain also trapped us in hotel room and I improvised with photographing both of them on the bed playing with the bed sheet. Carrie's makeover is by Joan while formal from Solcover. Read till the end.

&.b.t.w. - This photo above were raced with the rain. So glad we completed before the rain gone for the whole night after that. Yes, it's a composite made of 6 separate pictures.

&.&.b.t.w. - Saw the gigantic love made out of seaweed? It is Ei Hon one person's masterpiece. He is a real sweetheart, collected humungous amount of seaweed washed up the shore to make this specifically for Carrie.

&.&.&.b.t.w. -  I brought them to quite a number of local hawker food places throughout their stay in Penang. It's a food heaven for them! So, this is somewhat a prewedding food tour isn't it?
